Gira is British, graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 1999, and registered as a psychiatrist in the UK. She is also near-fluent in French.

Gira works at the practice as a counsellor and therapist specialising in psychological and talking treatments for adults. She accepts self-referrals as well as referrals from other health practitioners. Gira can see patients aged 16 and above, provided they have a written referral from a healthcare professional.
Gira uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. Her training in integrative psychiatry also allows her to recommend lifestyle, dietary interventions, and natural supplements to support mental well-being. Her approach typically involves an in-depth initial consultation of 1 hour and 20 minutes, followed by a psychological treatment plan, referral to medical practitioners if necessary, and regular follow-up as needed. Subsequent
sessions can be held virtually, and email support is available.
