Gira Patel
Gira is British and graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 1999, UK. She is a qualified and registered psychiatrist in the UK, but not in Hong Kong. Her psychiatry training included specialist experience, particularly in assessing and treating adult, old age, and perinatal conditions. She also spent a year training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy alongside her psychiatric training. Since moving to Hong Kong in 2013, she has undertaken additional skills training in psychological approaches, including mindfulness-based stress reduction and schema therapy.
