Child Health & Vaccinations

Our General Practitioners are highly experienced in caring for the health of infants, children, and adolescents. Our holistic approach and focus on optimal wellness extend to both children and adolescents.

Dr Nichola Salmond has a special interest in treating attention deficit disorder and mood disorders in children and adolescents.

We offer health checks for adolescents, which include checking their current hepatitis B vaccination status and ensuring they are receiving essential vitamins.

We carry all routine child vaccinations.

Vaccination is an essential step in protecting your child against a range of serious and potentially fatal diseases. They are quick, safe, and highly effective. Once your child has been vaccinated against a disease, their body can fight it more effectively. If a child isn’t vaccinated, they will have an increased risk of catching the illness.

Both of our GPs have extensive experience in child immunisation.

Child Vaccination Schedule

We are aware of the concerns many parents have about the amount and safety of vaccinations in young babies and children.

Please book in to see either of our GPs if you would like to discuss your concerns. We are happy to work with parents’ concerns and, in some cases, delay certain vaccines if this can be done safely.

We offer adolescent health checks and can perform the following routine child vaccinations:

  • Tuberculosis (BCG)

  • Hepatitis B

  • Diphtheria

  • Tetanus

  • Pertussis

  • Polio

  • Influenza (Yearly Basis)

  • Haemophilus Influenzae Type B

  • Pneumococcal (13 Serotypes)

  • Pneumococcal (23 Serotypes, if high-risk case)

  • Rotavirus

  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)

  • Chickenpox

  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) can be given to Boys and Girls.
