What is Pelleve Wrinkle Reduction
The Pelleve RF System is a safe and effective, non-invasive skin tightening treatment for facial wrinkles. RF energy is used to heat tissue and stimulate subdermal collagen production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin. The technique induces tissue remodeling and production of new collagen and elastin.
What can Pellevé be used for?
Skin laxity and sagging around jowls and neck
Crow’s feet and under eye wrinkles
Hooding around the upper eyelids
Wrinkles around the neck or chest
Ageing lipstick lines
What to expect at your visit?
At your initial consultation, we will assess whether Pellevé is right for you based on your skin
type, age and what you hope to accomplish.
First, a protective gel is applied to the face, because treatment is rarely uncomfortable, anesthesia or numbing agents aren’t necessary. You’ll feel a deep warming sensation as the Pellevé hand piece touches your face and neck. This sensation should dissipate quickly following treatment. There is no pain, only minimal discomfort in some areas.
How many sessions will I need?
Between 3-8 sessions will be needed depending on how well your body responds to collagen remodelling. These sessions are best spaced no more than 3 weeks apart to achieve optimum results.
What to expect after your treatment?
Your skin will feel warm for 20 minutes or so after treatment, but you should be able to resume your normal routine right away. Other than some slight skin redness, there will be no evidence that you’ve just had a cosmetic enhancement.
Many patients see a result immediately after just one treatment, but most will need a course of two to three treatments for the very best results. The immediate results that can be seen include firmer, tighter skin. The goal of the treatment is to stimulate your skin to start producing greater amounts of collagen. This means that your skin gradually tightens and grows smoother with time. What you see immediately after the procedure is only the beginning of the ongoing improvements that you can expect.
